Job Description:
Well established company with deep roots has an excellent opening for an Irrigation Department Manager in California’s Central Valley.
Responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the planning, organization and execution of the Irrigation Department.
- Leading the planning and designs of all irrigation projects for transporting and distributing water to agricultural land.
- Managing the planning and design of irrigation fixtures and installation of fixtures to specifications and requirements.
- Managing the generation of sales, and the bidding and estimating process.

Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in an agriculture-related field.
- Five plus years experience in similar duties.
- Advanced understanding of citrus and a broad understanding of irrigation methods and systems.
- Ability to evaluate crops and determine water availability and use requirements.
- Ability to select the most effective irrigation method and equipment applicable for the job.
- Budgeting and purchasing experience.
- Must have effective communication skills and basic knowledge of safety programs.
- Excellent Customer Service philosophy.
- Helpful to have knowledge of the scope and operation of private and federal water districts within the San Joaquin Valley.
