Job Description:
We are a 35 year, iconic grower/packer/shipper that provides our high quality product to top chefs in New York, the Eastern Seaboard and as far west as the Pacific Coast. We are looking for a seasoned manager to join our team in overseeing our company’s warehouse in Brooklyn.

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing/operating a warehouse a plus.
- Ability to effectively lead, delegate and motivate team members.
- Must have basic computer skills and be open to additional training.
- Must be a team player and work well with others.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must take ownership of products and be willing to become an expert on our products and systems.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Oversees receiving, storage, retrieval and shipping of our products.
- Lead and supervise a team of order pickers and loaders.
- Ensures workplace health and safety requirements are maintained.
- Plans the arrangement of products within the warehouse and organizes special requirements for certain specialty items, such as temperature sensitive products, or product being ripened.
- Ensures productivity targets are met.
- Maintain good records in our inventory control software.
- Communicates with the sales and purchasing when produce or sanitation related issues are detected.
- Implement management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Takes responsibility for the security of the building and product as well.
