Job Description:
We are a vertically integrated Citrus farming organization located in the Bakersfield, California area. We are seeking a Senior Farm Manager with experience at a reputable and large scale operation. The ideal candidate will have vast knowledge in the following areas: irrigation management, plant science, plant nutrition, soil management and other cultural practices.

Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in an agricultural field of study, such as soil science or agronomy or equivalent experience. Master Degree preferred
- 5 years farm management experience. Large-scale agriculture
- Must be able to troubleshoot and be resourceful
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to set and achieve goals
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Process improvement and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and contribute to the success of the farm
- Results oriented manager
- Ability to plan ahead and to look at the whole picture

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop and implement plant nutrition plans
- Develop and implement irrigation plans
- Review orchards to identify problem areas and propose solutions
- Assist in generating planting plans and budget inputs
- Design and implement systems to efficiently manage labor and equipment
- Propose creative solutions to farming problems
- Generate new ideas for testing in our research program
- Work closely with Packing and quality management to produce the highest quality products
- Comply with all safety requirements
- Maintain farm data for analysis
- Conduct farm research
