We are currently looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our team in Union City, CA.

As the Warehouse Manager you are responsible for directing all activities in the facility necessary to operate and support a warehouse at maximum efficiency. You will perform a variety of management, administrative, and physical functions to ensure the timely and accurate loading and unloading of commodities that transit the warehouse. You will also collaboratively work with the team and staff to ensure that operational efficiency, safety, and controls are maintained within the warehouse and subject to continuous improvement.

Requirements: 
  • 3 + years of warehouse management experience.
  • General knowledge of modern warehouse and inventory control processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of all types of materials and parts required for operations.
  • General knowledge of the applicable standard grades, qualities of equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to plan and supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with associates.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to demonstrate teamwork, leadership and creative flexibility while dealing with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain and teach policies, procedures and practices.
  • Proficient skills in using computer-based systems, programs and reports.
  • Capacity to manage one’s own time and the time of others.
  • Fork Lift Certified preferred.
  • OSHA Certified preferred.
  • Safety & Health Certified preferred.
  • Six Sigma Certified preferred or any other operational training a plus.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Training and continuous employee development across all levels, including formal reviews of supervisors on a monthly basis with continual informal feedback.
  • Ongoing process improvements to ensure quality and accuracy at every stage of production.
  • In charge of ensuring that the highest level of quality is maintained in the facility at all times.
  • Provide the designated contacts across all facilities with all of the necessary information needed to determine when all shipments are expected to arrive, while providing root cause analysis of delays.
  • Analyze and determine root cause of all packing and quality complaints and shipping delays, while updating and maintaining tracking metrics.
  • Daily management of department duties, including labor allocations, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and providing discipline, as needed.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures and Job Description documentation, as required.
  • Create and implement policies and procedures for all departments activities.
  • Train and coach supervisors and associates, and verifying SOP's and safety compliance through standard work checks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse at all time, and ensure that this is a priority of every employee.
