Job Description:
Clark's Market in Telluride, CO is looking for a highly motivated individual to lead our Produce team. This is a full time non-seasonal position. Compensation package includes hourly rate of pay, health care benefits, generous PTO, store purchase discount, 401k and quarterly bonus potential.
Requirements:
- Prior Produce management experience
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., repeatedly
- Can work in cold environments (walk in cooler)
- Experience leading and managing employees
- Experience writing and managing work schedules within a budget
- Understanding of Produce seasons and availability
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manages department inventories by tracking weekly sales reports and reviews orders of product and supplies so as to meet customer requirements and the company’s gross profit goals.
- Develops and implements localized merchandising plan for Produce, works with Management to set up and create displays for new and seasonal items as well as items that are tied-in with other department promotions, in order to meet the sales and profit objectives of the stores and the departments.
- Ensures effective housekeeping program is utilized. Inspects merchandise to be sure it meets all health department regulations. Ensures passing scores of all sanitation inspections that meet company standards. Ensures that associates work and operate equipment in a safe manner at all times, complying with OSHA requirements. Insures compliance with local, state and government weights and measures laws.
- Identifies areas in Produce Department where improvement in customer service is required, then implements changes and procedures to address these needs.
