Job Description: 

CIERTO addresses some of the most serious social risks in global agricultural supply chains. We establish a transparent and fair process for worker recruitment that prevents recruitment fraud, debt peonage, trafficking and slavery.  CIERTO focuses on farm worker recruitment, training, and dispatch to agricultural employers in Mexico and the United States. 

To achieve our mission, CIERTO is looking for a candidate with strong leadership and technical skills to develop and administer a temporary agricultural worker recruitment program. This includes intensive oversight with an emphasis on compliance with US DOL, EDD, OSHA, various Local, State and Federal rules, regulations and procedures, as well as ensuring adherence to the CIERTO mission.

We are seeking candidates who are self-starters, organized, efficient, and can work with minimal supervision.  We offer a challenging work environment and the opportunity for career growth within our organization.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Administer the organization’s Temporary Agricultural Workers program (H2A).
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Labor, Federal and State rules, regulations and procedures as related to employment, safety and immigration/work visa requirements.
  • Manage and oversee all program requirements for housing and transportation.
  • Manage recruiting strategies for the program.
  • Foster positive working relationships with DOL, EDD, CRLA, OSHA, etc.
  • Conduct H2A employee orientation and safety training, as needed.
  • Conduct various administrative and record keeping activities.
  • Attend ongoing seminars and Industry Association meetings and forums on Immigration and Guest Worker topics.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management (or related field), from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Highly organized, strong multitasker, with project management skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly and with little notice.
  • Must be bilingual (English and Spanish).
