Under direct supervision the Human Resources Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the human resources department.  In addition to answering phones, typing, filing and scheduling, performs duties such as workers compensation record keeping, coordination of meetings and conferences, coordinates and works on special projects. Also, answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. 

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Assist department in communicating and implementing various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees
  • Manage benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, eligibility updates, enrollment coordination, and approve invoices for payment
  • Manage workers compensation program and maintain accurate records
  • Register new employees
  • Process termination paperwork
  • Participate in recruitment efforts for nonexempt and exempt personnel; help coordinate the use of temporary employees
  • Conduct new-employee orientations and administer pre-employment tests
  • Assist in organizational training and development efforts
  • Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database as needed
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars
  • Help maintain company organization charts and employee directory

Requirements: 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to three years related experience and/or training.
  • Experience in Excel and MS Word preferred
  • Able to work in a respectful and professional manner with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Flexibility 
  • Ability to travel and relocate to various harvesting locations                        
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • Work onsite and meet position’s attendance schedule, as required by the job
