We have an opening for an energetic Sales Representative in Irwindale, CA.

As the Sales Representative you will be responsible for establishing long term working relationships with customers and providing excellent customer service by meeting the needs and concerns of customers. You will develop opportunities to generate and expand business sales.  You will also partner with management and inside sales reps to help resolve customer questions and complaints.

Requirements: 
  • At least two years of outside sales experience in the wholesale produce industry with proven sales record, preferred.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and days.
  • Knowledge of retail, wholesale and produce industries.
  • Knowledge of market and growing conditions.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of Computer Information Systems preferred: Bosanova/Retalix and Sequel (training provided), and AS 400.
  • Must able to communicate with all levels of management internally and externally. Willing to make “cold calls”.
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, And PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and drive results.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Identify and target new business development.
  • Service existing accounts and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Provide daily marketing support to establish and increase new customers.
  • Successfully promote a customer-focused work ethic in tune with the company's core values and principles.
  • Effective account management including: profitable sales; customer service; price and volume management (market, ad/lid, and contracts, open); price and volume forecasting; reporting and performance review/monitoring.
  • Develop and communicate strategies to grow market share and customer base.
  • Manage budgets to ensure effectiveness and meet area targets.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure optimal customer service and support.
