Job Description: 

Catalinos Berry Farms is a family owned business that has been around since 2003. It is a moderate sized strawberry operation located in Oxnard, California. We strive for excellence in quality and safety.

Our office is located in a rural environment on the outskirts of Oxnard, Ca. The atmosphere within the office is very friendly and family oriented, but very hardworking and determined. With this atmosphere comes a receptive mentality to new ideas or ways of improvement.

We are currently looking to fill a part-time position for an Administrative Assistant.

As a part-time Administrative Assistant your main duties will include scheduling appointments, providing information to callers, taking dictation, and otherwise relieve officials of clerical work and minor administrative and business detail by performing these tasks.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Reads and routes all incoming mail; locates and attaches appropriate file to correspondence to be answered by employer.
  • Takes dictation in shorthand or by machine, and transcribes notes and voice recordings on to  a computer.
  • Composes and types routine correspondence.
  • Organizes and maintains file system, and files correspondence and other records.
  • Answers and screens manager's telephone calls, and arranges conference calls.
  • Coordinates manager's schedule and makes appointments.
  • Greets scheduled visitors and directs them to the appropriate area or person.
  • Arranges and coordinates travel schedules and reservations.
  • Conducts research, and compiles and creates statistical reports.
  • Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records, and transcribes minutes of meetings.
  • Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials.
  • Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes.
  • Orders and maintains supplies, and arranges for equipment maintenance.

Education: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Undertakes self-development activities and seeks increased responsibilities.
  • Preferably bilingual English/Spanish.
