We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant with strong analytical skills to provide analysis and insight about our business operations.
As the Senior Accountant you will be able to identify, correlate and combine information from a diverse set of sources into a comprehensive representation of our business processes.
This position will be located at the farm in Capay and will be a full-time exempt position.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
- 5-7 years of operational experience.
- Agriculture experience is essential.
- Intermediate to Expert Excel modeling skills
- Needs to have an understanding of database design, and query/SQL is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate to expert knowledge of excel and ability to design and maintain complex financial models.
- Use analytical skills to provide periodic financial analysis of actual performance vs prior period and current year budget.
- Actively be involved with the development of annual budget process as well as interim forecasting.
- Prepare summary reports and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of transfer pricing, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
- Deliver in depth analysis of contribution margin movement based on product mix and pricing sensitivity.
- Support the monthly financial close cycle and preparation of internal and external financial statements.
- Provide provision for external review or audit of financial statements.
- Operational reporting, KPI-Executive, KPI-Operational, and Commodity Manager.
- Financial reporting; month end and program reviews.
- Grower accounting.
- Planning and budgeting; annual budget and program budget.
- Reporting systems labor; piece rate, packing by style ID, actual costs and Accounting.
