Job Description: 

The mission of California Produce is to consistently deliver the best seasonally available product to our customers with the same passion they have for their work - on time, at the best competitive rate, backed by detail managed service, and our honest commitment as your partner to deliver what we promise.

We source daily the top quality produce from local farms and reach out to major growers in the global marketplace as well. Our buyers are in the L.A. market 6 nights per week, and have the ability to select to specific customer profiles, as well as support our high standard of quality.

We are located minutes away from the largest produce market in the U.S. If it is in season we have access to deliver most items market fresh the next day. We have established relationships with key market suppliers, offering top quality and access to the best of the best.

We are currently looking for a Sales Representative for a remote position in Southern, CA.

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for planning out all sales activities and managing/creating customer accounts in your assigned area. You are also responsible for customer satisfaction, and making sure that they are satisfied with the quality of their product and service delivery.

Requirements: 
  • High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent
  • 2-5 years’ experience of sales
  • Street sales experience a must
  • Existing sales accounts very important
  • Knowledge of relevant computer applications
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of sales
  • Knowledge of customer service and basic business principles
  • Experience in making presentations
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Generate and qualify leads
  • Source and develop client referrals
  • Prepare sales action plans and strategies
  • Develop and maintain a customer database
  • Develop and maintain sales and promotional materials
  • Plan and conduct direct marketing activities
  • Make sales calls to new and existing clients
  • Develop and make presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients
  • Negotiate with clients
  • Develop sales proposals
  • Present sales contracts
  • Conduct product training
  • Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports
  • Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships
  • Follow up on sales activity
  • Perform quality checks on product and service delivery
  • Monitor and report on sales activities and follow up management
  • Conduct market research and surveys
  • Participate in sales events
  • Monitor competitors, market conditions, and product development
