Job Description:
Buy Fresh Produce Inc. is looking for an Production Manager to join their team in Commerce, California.
Requirements:
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred
- Valid US driver’s license and clean driving record
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop, review and approve plans for the control of planned outputs, budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, production effectiveness, customer service, and order fulfillment efficiency, along with human utilization.
- Review performance against operating plans and standards.
- Provides reports to team members on interpretation of results and approves changes in direction of plans.
- Present weekly reports on performance to executive team.
- Develop and present to the owners matters requiring a decision.
- Develop and recommend operations policies and procedures departments.
- Assist in the development of plans for new areas of technology for production.
- Complete other activities and responsibilities as assigned.
- Run the production line and be able to fill all orders in a timely manner.
- Come up with the best ways to run the production line that is most efficient
- Hire and terminate production employees threw work force work agency that we use for personal.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a leadership operations position in a manufacturing/produce/packaging company, with the responsibilities of producing, purchasing, inventory control, and production control, as well as shipping, receiving, and warehousing.
- Sound administrative skills, well-developed and highly ethical management skills—principles and people.
- Proven ability to train and motivate personnel.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
- Participative management type.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities.
- Ability to establish credibility and be decisive—but able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities.
- Satisfactory communication skills, written and verbal.
- Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations
- Has specific knowledge in running a Produce production line
