Job Description: 

We are currently searching for an organized, energetic and highly motivated individual to become our Quality Control/Food Safety Manager in Fowler, CA.

As the Quality Control/Food Safety Manager you will be responsible for the overall implementation and daily management of the QC Program. You will also be responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory count, and researching any discrepancy in regards to our extensive food safety system.

Bee Sweet Citrus is an independent packer and shipper of California oranges, and other citrus varieties that was established over 30 years ago.

Today Bee Sweet Citrus is an industry leader. As a successful year-round operation, Bee Sweet ships throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and several Pacific Rim countries including Japan.

Requirements: 
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in quality control/food safety
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment and relate well to others.
  • Must show initiative and commitment to the company goals.
  • Able to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Strong commitment to performing and producing at the highest level at all times.
  • Ability to manage individual workflow effectively.
  • Able to communicate clearly with coworkers both in writing and verbally.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft. Word, and Outlook.
  • Must possess current knowledge of the industry’s food safety regulations, health and safety and hazard prevention.
  • Bi-lingual (English-Spanish preferred).
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Enforce good manufacturing practices that include, but are not limited to the following: sanitation, pest control, security and temperature management.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive and ongoing quality control program, which includes line personnel training, compliance reviews, corrective actions, maintenance of QC records, and creation of detailed tracking reports.
  • Compliance of MRL’s for all domestic, import and export shipments.
  • Conduct field inspections related to food safety.
  • Conduct USDA match inspections and third party audits.
  • Maintain an accurate, quality controlled inventory of produce.
  • Must maintain high quality of citrus by keeping an accurate record of its status in storage.
