Associated Produce, Inc. is a direct importer, wholesale and retail distributor for fresh produce in the Northeast.  We offer a full line of products and services as well as a great sales team and top notch customer service reps.  Our team members make sure that all of our accounts are taken care of with a professionalism you cannot find anywhere else.

We are currently looking for a Wholesale Produce Rep to join our team in Bronx, NY.

As a Wholesale Produce Sales Rep your responsibility is to expand our customer base of Chain Store, independents and food service clientele, as well as maintain our current customer accounts.  You will keep track of customer orders and uphold our high customer service standards. You will also work with other members of the sales team as you help our business grow.

Requirements: 
  • 2+ years of produce experience.
  • Excellent communication skills- written, verbal and interpersonal.
  • A professional "get it done" attitude with the ability to take initiative in areas outside of the defined job scope, including the ability to work autonomously and productively with little intervention.
  • Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Computer skills - able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook and a few proprietary programs, for which we will provide training.
  • Must have reliable vehicle to visit existing and new accounts.
  • Spanish speaking is a big plus!
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Service existing accounts and provide outstanding customer service, while obtaining orders and establishing new accounts.
  • Plan and organized a daily work schedule to visit existing and potential customers.
  • Daily marketing support to establish and increase new customers.
  • Successfully promote a customer-focused work ethic in tune with the company's core values and principles.
  • Sales tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Seek to improve sales revenue in line with established sales targets.
  • Take daily orders (requires after hours phone & email work).
  • Work through and follow up on trouble orders/files. Ensure timely input of all charges and adjustments.
  • Work closely with other members of the Sales department and Senior Management.
  • Keep management informed of any issues that may keep us from growing our business.
