Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager in Guadalupe, California.
Position Reports to:
Facilities and Building Manager
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Under the direction of the Facilities and Building Manager of West Operations, oversee the plant maintenance department daily operations and schedules.
- Ensure the startup and daily work schedules are performed efficiently and effectively.
- Continually monitor the Preventative Maintenance program.
- Manage maintenance inventory (spare/repair/critical parts and tools) to ensure availability.
- Must be very proactive and action orientated relative to emergencies as well as preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Review, monitor, and ensure the operation of plant equipment and systems are optimized to minimize unplanned interruptions.
- Monitor work order completion and prioritize as needed.
- Provide daily communication and direction to all maintenance staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment including workshop and parts/inventory storage.
- Manage hours and overtime of hourly staff on a daily and weekly basis.
- Schedule employees on first and second shift to best optimize ability to work within the plant and on specific equipment.
- Monitor Maintenance staff safety training and certifications including HazMat, LockOut Tagout, and Hotwork.
- Review all work orders, PO’s for equipment and supplies, and provide completed accurate and timely paperwork as required.
Skills:
- Supervisory experience is essential and required. Proactively manage staff
- Ability to train and motivate employees, working within a 7 day workweek.
- Process Management and Risk Management experience.
- Computer literate. Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Mechanical aptitude in air, electric, ammonia systems.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and continuously meet deadlines. May require working Saturdays and Sundays.
- Familiar with OSHA standards and regulations
- Preferred bilingual English/Spanish.
Work Environment:
- Work in plant environment. 34-36 degrees.
- Two shift operation including weekends.
- Fast paced, large facility, multiple rooms and equipment.
- Moderate noise levels.
- Working in environment that utilizes chemicals for Sanitation and cleaning.

Qualifications:
Education, Experience and Certifications:
- B.S. degree preferred in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
- 5 years supervisory experience in Maintenance in a food manufacturing plant is required.
- RETA certified or working toward certification is required.
