Sales Associate

Job Description: 

The Amco Group of Companies represents your one source, full service fresh produce supplier. On a turnkey basis, our four allied companies, Farms, Produce, Express and Storage, specialize in all aspects of the Greenhouse Produce Market. From the germinated seed to our final premium crop, we have complete control over the growing, packing and shipping of our products to assure consistent quality and food safety to our valued consumers.

We are currently searching for a Sales Associate.

As a Sales Associate you will be responsible for creating and maintaining customer accounts. You will keep accurate customer records and provide excellent customer service even after a sale has been reached. You will be highly motivated and a go getter in completing goals and generating new customers.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Seek, contact, and negotiate with potential customers to attain adequate sales and associated profit for the Company.
  • Achieve or exceed the budgeted individual sales and profit goals as established by the Company.
  • Establish a unique customer base for our greenhouse vegetables to increase and/or expand the current customer base that exists at AMCO currently.
  • Understand the needs of customers through conversational interaction and converting those needs into sales.
  • Contact a sufficient number of potential customers to achieve the volume of sales needed to meet all personal and company sales goals.
  • Properly serve all customers after the sale to insure customer satisfaction.
  • Contact appropriate produce vendors so that AMCO orders are filled with the highest quality, lowest cost produce available.
  • Maintains accurate and current, detailed customer account lists.
  • Work closely with the sales department to secure supplier alliances, service grower needs and plan for long term relationships.
  • Keeps updated on events in the produce markets to take advantage of new changes.
  • Completes and submits all required reports in a timely and complete manner.
  • Ensure sales billings are accurate and timely forwarded to the Accounts Receivable department.
Qualifications: 
  • High school Diploma with 1-3 years of experience in a sales environment.
  • Position requires strong communication, organizational, computer and analytical skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • General knowledge of Terminal Markets, ability to work independently and the skills to develop a relationship with a wide variety of customers in an aggressive sales environment.
