- At least 3 years’ experience in import logistics
- College degree is preferred
- Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus
- Effective communicator. Continuously synthesize and communicate information to multiple parties

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel is particularly important)

International Transportation Process (Sea Freight/Truck Freight)
- Manage Arrival Schedule
- Follow up on cargo holds and delays at origin and at destination
- Inform sales team of all delays
Coordinate Cargo Release Process
- Keep control of all phases of inbound cargo releases
- Documentation
- Government Agency holds
- Shipping Company holds
Inland Transportation Process
- Coordinate drayage companies to pick up cargo
- Follow up on delivery of cargo to warehouse
- Manage overall relationship with drayage companies
Constant Status Updates to Sales Teams
- Check incoming manifests for errors and upload to software system.
- Forecasting and actual arrivals.
- Data entry
Sea Freight Insurance Management
- Send weekly insurance declarations for all inbound shipments
- Manage claims process
Provide constant feedback to growers
- Market prices
- Quality Reports of arriving fruit
Gather information from growers
- Volume of product being shipped to Amazon and to USA market as a whole
- Weather conditions of origin countries
- Vessel availability and schedules
Monitor lot liquidation process and alert when problems or delays begin
