Job Description: 

Albert's Organics is the nation’s leading distributor of quality organically grown fresh produce and perishable items, (including meat, dairy, soy products, juices/beverages, and much more). We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Merchandising Representative located in Aurora, Co or remotely, who will be responsible for the Kansas City territory.

As a Sr. Merchandising Representative you will build outside sales and expand a new customer base through merchandising efforts for large volume key accounts, including new store set-up and re-sets. Create, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with new and existing customers, while growing sales margins.

Requirements: 
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in produce and/or other retail food merchandising.
  • Extensive knowledge of produce, product origin, seasonality and all issues that pertain to organic retailing.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Build sales with current large volume customer base through effective retail product merchandising of all Albert’s product offerings.
  • Facilitate and provide regular flow of organic market updates and information to account contacts.
  • Prepare and facilitate inspirational and educational training modules for account produce, meat and dairy managers, and coordinate training sessions upon request with the appropriate leadership at each customer account.
  • Schedule routine visits to large volume key accounts to represent Albert’s Organics products and facilitate all sales building opportunities, in addition to being available to all accounts requesting merchandising support.
  • Work to inspire large volume accounts on the impact of display and the advantages of expanded organic product selections (both produce and non-produce Fresh product).
  • Become the Albert’s Organics and industry ambassador to assigned accounts, as a source of knowledge on the rules and regulations of organics product handling, organics farming practices and seasonal issues with supply and demand, etc.
  • Accommodate the merchandising of organic products on a regular basis, according to the accounts merchandising strategies, at re-models, new store set ups and other opportunities for increased sales.
  • Maintain regular and effective communication with the identified account leadership, Albert’s Sales Team and Sales Team Leader on all issues.
  • Document and file all store visits with detailed information, including digital photos when requested, and forward to the appropriate contacts.
  • Epitomize customer service at the highest level to all customers.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with HACCP and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location.
  • Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Albert’s Recall Plan.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Education: 
  • BA/BS in sales/marketing or equivalent training and experience.
Skills: 
  • Ability to conceptualize markets and anticipate changes.
