Job Description:
Albert’s Organics, America’s largest, most knowledgeable organic, fresh foods distributor and subsidiary of United Natural Foods, is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor for our Vernon, CA distribution center.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- This position is responsible for the quality control process upon receipt of product, during on hand inventory, and product selected for customer shipment. Responsible for reporting of COC and internal Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the division operations and sales teams.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be regularly exposed to warehouse environment, to moving industrial powered equipment, and occasionally to moving mechanical parts.
- This position is regularly required to walk and stand (up to eight hours per day); use hand to handle or grasp, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- The associate is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and is occasionally required to twist, turn, bend, sit, climb or balance. This associate must be able to lift, push and pull up to 60 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The associate is regularly exposed to moderate to extreme cold and wet conditions in a warehouse setting and may be subject to moderate noise levels.
Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates will have a BA/BS degree in related field, or equivalent training and experience.
- Minimum 5+ years related Quality Control experience; thorough knowledge of quality management practices and statistical techniques.
- Familiarity with fresh produce (quality expectations, varieties, case packs, etc.) is required.
- At least 3 years supervisory experience.
- Working knowledge of good delivery guidelines for fresh produce.
- Must be able to safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift and pallet jack; forklift & pallet jack certification required.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- English/Spanish bi-lingual skills a plus.
