AGRICOLA GLOBALMEX, S.A. DE C.V. is a 100 acre greenhouse operation in Central Mexico that has been in the industry for over 15 years specializing in High Tech Hydroponics Greenhouse Production, with all Food Safety certifications and requirements. Being Mexico’s leader in greenhouse production as well as a known and respected label in the United States greenhouse industry.
We are seeking an industry expert, Produce Sales Representative with a book of business to join our new sales office and distribution center in the Maryland and Virginia Area. This individual will also be focused on results, and motivated to work at a high level of efficiency and be up to the challenge of bringing new retail customers to the business.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Proactively creating opportunities for additional sales with new and existing customers
- Taking it upon yourself to make cold calls and set appointments
- Maintaining complete and accurate records of all sales and customers
- Maintaining and developing working relationships with the team
- Seeking to improve sales revenue in line with established sales targets
- Providing sales support and superior customer service to existing customers while also acquiring new clientele
- Must have a good working relationship with your customers
Qualifications:
- Prior produce sales experience highly desirable with 5 years in produce trading to retail such as Food Lion, Stop & Shop, Safeway, Albertsons, Whole Foods, other customers as such.
- As well as experience with Greenhouse Produce, Hydroponics Produce, Tomato Sales and etc.
- Computer proficiency, a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent organizational & negotiating skills
- Sound knowledge of proven sales processes
- Comprehensive understanding of market conditions
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions and solve problems
